Epoxy Flooring
Epoxy flooring is a unique flooring material that makes your floor strong, stain resistant, and more.
How to put epoxy on your flooring
Check with Total Waterproofing Supplies for the correct membrane to use in your area if you are not sure.
This is a generic guide only, giving a basic overview of how to install a membrane. This information is given in good faith and should NOT be used as a Technical Data Sheet (TDS) or Instruction Sheet.
When purchasing membranes always download the full TDS sheet and MSDS sheet applicable. All membranes have their own manufacturer’s instruction guide/s, these must be used when installing membranes.
You may download this information from our website or direct from the manufacturer.
- 1. Ensure the area to be waterproofed is clean and is free of any mould, dirt, grease or oil.
- 2. Ensure the area is completely dry
- 3. Apply the primer to the floor area to be coated
- 4. Mix the Part A and the Part B together with a mechanical mixer to ensure that the two parts are thoughly mixed (only mix enough material together that can be applied in the times set by the manufacturer so the epoxy does not start to set, see data sheet).
- 5. Apply the epoxy to the floor surface, starting from the furthest point and working back to the finish point this way you will not damage the newly applied epoxy.
- 6. Allow the epoxy to dry before applying the second coat (see data sheet for drying times)
